Sleeping six, Quince is the centre cottage of three on the owner’s fourteen acre smallholding near St. Dogmaels on the Teifi estuary in Cardigan Bay. It is adjoining Barbary Cottage (reference 'barbary'). The smallholding is about a mile from St. Dogmaels village which has a shop, pubs, a tearoom and the famous abbey ruins. A mile further on is the large sandy beach at Poppit Sands. Cardigan is close as is the Ceredigion Heritage Coast with sandy bays, rocky headlands and a chance of seeing seals and dolphins. More active pursuits such as golf, riding, fishing and quad biking are available nearby. Stabling and grazing for your horse is available at the smallholding by negotiation. If you don’t bring your own there are always horses to see here!

Quince Cottage has three bedrooms on the first floor, two with twin beds and the other with two bunks. The bathroom has a bath, a toilet and a washbasin. There is also a shower room on the ground floor with shower, toilet and washbasin. The rest of the ground floor is open plan. The comfortable living / dining area has a TV / DVD and the kitchen area with breakfast bar is fully equipped with fridge / freezer, microwave, washing machine and electric cooker. The cottage is supplied with spring water.

The garden area is a large shared southwest facing yard to the front of the cottage with flower borders and a table and chairs so you can make the most of this sun trap. It is fenced so that it is secure for children and pets alike. Private off road parking available here for up to three cars. Bed linen is supplied but guests are asked to bring their own towels, etc. Electricity for cooking and heating (storage heaters) is included. Up to 3 medium sized well-behaved pets are welcome at £2 extra per day. Dogs must not be left alone in the house but outside kennels with a covered run are provided. Camping is also available at Bwthynnod Blaenddol.

Situated in a beautiful quiet valley, Quince Cottage ensures a relaxing holiday near the sea in this little known part of Wales.

A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking; the balance should be paid 8 weeks before the start of the holiday. Pets are charged at £2 per pet per day. Please pay the deposit within 7 days. Payment methods accepted: online bank transfer, cheque. We will send you an email with this information when you book.
