Banc Cottage is an 18th-century coastal cottage in the pretty village of Moylegrove in Pembrokeshire. It is a short walk to the coastal path and spectacular cliffs and beach of Ceibwr Bay, where dolphins and seals are regular visitors. The large garden (shared with our other cottage Badger Banc) has distant sea views. There is also a large paddock with fruit trees.
The area is unsurpassed for the walker and wildlife enthusiast, with miles of craggy, heather-clad moorland within easy reach, where your only companions will be wild ponies, cows and sheep. In the evenings, the area is visited by badgers and foxes and also a variety of birds visit during the day, with the occasional view of a red kite overhead.
Newport is a short drive away and offers a selection of pubs and restaurants. The larger market town of Cardigan on the Teifi estuary offers a good selection of shops and leisure facilities, including sailing, fishing and golf. Ancient St Dogmaels with its ruined Abbey, and Nevern with its Norman church, are well worth a visit.
Great care has been taken in the renovation of Banc Cottage to ensure that it retains as many original features and characteristics as possible, including original beamed ceilings, stone walls, and fireplaces.
