Pinewood, situated within a half mile walk of Saundersfoot beach, is an attractive detached 1920s bungalow set in beautiful mature gardens with views over Dungeon Woods and Swallow Tree. Walk from Pinewood to the delightful village and harbour at Saundersfoot or follow the path and steps through our garden, through the gate and down to the road and cross over into Dungeon Woods beyond, where a rough track leads down to the Glen beach, a sheltered inlet with rock-pools providing habitat for crabs and shrimps and an exciting space for children. Should you wish to leave your car at Pinewood and walk to the beach, buses back from the village are frequent, and the bus stop and shelter are just at the end of Bevelin Lane. From there you can also travel into Tenby about two miles away. There are pubs, restaurants, cafes and local farm shops all within walking distance.

Pinewood sleeps five in three bedrooms. Two double rooms (one with wash-hand basin) and one single bedroom, all with woodland views. The bathroom is fully tiled, has a wash hand basin, toilet and the bath with side grips has a shower over. There is another small separate toilet off the hall. The kitchen is well equipped and has a breakfast bar for two. It contains a fridge-freezer, electric fan-oven, gas hob, microwave oven, slow cooker and automatic washing machine. Pinewood’s lounge, with bay window overlooking the garden and woodland beyond has a three seat settee and two arm chairs (one a recliner), gas fire, flat screen TV with digital Free-view and DVD player, and a selection of DVDs and books. The dining room also has a bay window overlooking the garden and woodland and a fully glazed door with steps down to the garden, a large dining table and six chairs, and for those not wanting to watch television the dining room also has a sofa and chairs where you can sit quietly, read or just enjoy the garden view.

With its proximity to the woodlands our garden has a large variety of visiting birds and animals including the greater and lesser spotted woodpecker, jay, sparrow-hawk, pheasant and an abundance of all our most common garden birds, alongside visits from the occasional badger and fox. Watch the antics of the many squirrels daily using our bird feeders. We suggest bringing binoculars if you have some.

There are no stairs or steps to negotiate within the bungalow. Price includes gas and electricity, and central heating out of season. Bedding and bed linen provided but please bring your own beach towels. For those booking a two week holiday fresh linen is provided mid-way. Pinewood is under the personal supervision of the owners who live adjoining, and the entire property, internally, is on one level. We regret the property cannot accommodate children under 5 years of age or same sex groups. No smoking. No Pets.
Book online but don't pay now. You will need to pay the deposit to the owner. A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking; the balance should be paid 6 weeks before the start of the holiday. Please pay the deposit within 7 days.
