Old Oak Barn is set in an idyllic woodland valley just 10 minutes from Laugharne near St Clears and sleeps 4 plus a cot very comfortably. This beautifully converted and very child friendly barn has complete privacy and has been refurbished to a very high standard using timber from our own woods.

The 75 acre farm is half woodlands and half pasture and visitors have exclusive access to the 38 acre woodlands with its paths and tracks – and the log cabin with camp fire and swings. Old Oak Barn offers very individual accommodation in a stunning location which is very near to a range of holiday attractions. We are only twenty minutes from the coast at Pendine and about 30 – 40 minutes from the famous Pembrokeshire coastline with its coastal path and varied scenery. 30 minutes from Aberglasney, the Botanic Gardens, Folly Farm and Oakwood.

The barn has a small private lawn with 2 swings and flower beds. The kitchen and bathroom overlook the small stream and woodland area with an abundance of wild flowers and birdlife. If you want peace and quiet then you will not be disappointed. Children are very welcome and will love the stream and the woodland walks especially in springtime and early summer when the bluebells are out. In summer we often see badgers playing at dusk. We have plenty of other wildlife and you are more than welcome to escape and enjoy the woods.

Accommodation
Old Oak Barn sleeps 4 in two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with twin beds. A travel cot can be used in either bedroom. The bathroom is spacious and includes a power shower over the bath. The huge living room is approx 32M2 with French windows opening out onto a completely rebuilt stone patio and is very light and spacious. Underfloor heating which can be controlled with a thermostat in each room provides an especially comfortable heat all year round. A 32” digital flat screen TV with Freeview and a DVD player with a good selection of DVDs is in the main room.

Plenty of mod cons make the kitchen home from home e.g. washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. Two tables in the property allow for choice of where to eat or to play one of the many board games from the toy drawer. Plenty of books for all ages plus Big Lego, wooden train set and dinosaurs! There is free WiFi internet access.

Outside
BBQ in style on the large patio or build a fire in the woods to cook on – our guests appreciate being given freedom to choose where to sit and relax after a day exploring this wonderful part of west Carmarthenshire. There is ample off-road parking.
