Nyth y Dryw overlooks the sea, with the Preseli hills to the rear, in a small group of cottages in large grounds on the edge of Newport Pembrokeshire. It is has been converted from part of an 18th-century house, retaining its character with beams and stonework. The living area is upstairs to take advantage of the splendid views.
Newport village shops, pubs and restaurants are just a quarter of a mile away. The village lies at the foot of Carningli mountain and is an ideal location for walkers exploring the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and National Park. The sheltered bay and estuary are popular for sandy beaches, sailing and water sports and sea and river fishing. There is an eighteen hole golf course with stunning views and a choice of riding stables within easy reach offering trekking across the Preseli Hills and pub and beach rides.
Nyth y Dryw sleeps two in one ground floor double bedroom. The bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a bath with shower over, wash basin and toilet. The first floor is open plan. The comfortable living/dining area has a satellite TV. The kitchen area has a gas cooker, fridge, microwave and washing machine. Nyth y Dryw is heated by electric night storage heaters and an electric woodburner effect stove.
Outside there is ample off-road parking and access to a lawned area with garden furniture and BBQ. Electricity, gas and bed linen are included. A cot is available on request. One well behaved pet is welcome at an additional £18 per week. The cottage is non-smoking indoors. Short break enquiries welcome.
