The cottage sleeps 4 people comfortably (1 double and 1 twin) although there is a sofa bed in the spacious lounge diner. The twin bedroom has ample room for a cot or extra child's bed. The small but well equipped kitchen contains microwave oven, fridge, electric cooker, and a washer drier and freezer are situated in the outside utility room. A television (Digital Freeview), DVD player and video are available in the lounge with a good stock of videos, books and games plus a radio CD player. The patio has garden furniture and a gas BBQ for your use. There are also picnic tables in the main garden/lawn area. Bed linen and towels are all included, (except beach towels), as are electricity and central heating. Breakfasts available by arrangement. One well behaved dog welcome but no fouling allowed in the garden.
Myrtle Hill Cottage is ideally placed for visiting local attractions such as the National Botanic Gardens of Wales, Aberglasney Gardens, Dolaucothi Roman Gold Mines, Pembrey Country Park, numerous castles, Red Kite feeding station ( Kites and Buzzards are frequently seen flying over our garden), The Heart of Wales Railway, Brecon Mountain Railway, Dan yr Ogof Showcaves, Llyn Brianne and Llyn y Fan Fach reservoirs and Dinas RSPB Nature reserve; indeed the local area offers a wealth of opportunities for walking, cycling, bird watching, sightseeing etc. The coasts of Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire are a short drive away as are The Brecon Beacons. Fishing, golf, horse riding, swimming and cycling are all catered for locally.
At varying times of year other local attractions for which Myrtle Hill is ideally situated are the Welsh GB Rally, The Garden of Wales festival and the Llandeilo Music festival. Alternatively sit back and relax in beautiful surroundings with a very friendly pub just 100 yards from your door!
