Cove Cottage is on the Heritage Coast of Cardigan Bay - a path leads from the cottage down through fields to the 'secret' sandy beach at Traeth Cove. It is a stone barn skilfully converted to provide a comfortable holiday cottage which retains beamed ceilings, stone walls, slate floors and with a splendid chestnut tree in the garden. It is furnished and decorated to the highest standard complete with log burning stove, pine dresser, antique bureau and a delightful kitchen.
Cove Cottage is one of four holiday cottages at Morfa Ganol Farm. It has 3 bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 6 plus cot in 1 double, 1 twin and 1 bunk bedroom on the first floor. There is a bathroom with full suite on the first floor and a shower room on the ground floor with a walk-in shower, washbasin and toilet. The lounge has 3 seater and 2 seater sofas, antique bureau, colour tv and video, woodburning stove. There is a luxury fitted kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, larder fridge, table and chairs to seat 4. In the dining room there are a Welsh dresser, table and chairs seating 6 and a highchair. The utility room has a freezer and an automatic washing machine.
There is a heated indoor swimming pool (6m x 3m with power jet) shared with the other three cottages at Morfa Ganol. There is a small, terraced rear garden with furniture, courtyard shared with Morfa Coachouse. There is parking for at least two cars. Oil central heating and logs included. Pets are welcome free. Bed linen is provided but please bring your own towels. For horse lovers there is stabling available.
There are wonderful beaches within an easy walk including Llangrannog and Penbryn (National Trust) and a short drive takes you to Tresaith, Mwnt and Cwm Tydu. This coastal area of Ceredigion offers some wonderful beaches, a spectacular coastline and lots of quiet country lanes which wind though the wooded valleys descending to the coastal coves, a perfect place for walkers and cyclists. The bay itself is home to a colony of bottlenose dolphins, and you can often see them from the coastal path and headlands. In the late summer and autumn, grey seals are also a common sight, watching you as you walk along the paths.
Llangrannog is a picture book seaside village. There are excellent pub meals to be found here and the best meringues ever in the beach front cafe.
The other cottages in this group are Morfa Bay Cottage and Y Bwthynand Morfa Coachhouse. Interested in booking more than one cottage? See the Group Availability Table.
