Bay Cottage is on the Heritage Coast of Cardigan Bay - a path leads from the cottage down through fields to the 'secret' sandy beach at Traeth Cove. This large and beautifully finished holiday cottage is one of four at Morfa Ganol Farm and is arranged on two floors with one double bedroom and bathroom, the large sitting room and dining kitchen as you come in on the upper floor. Downstairs are three further bedrooms (two doubles and one with three single beds) and a large shower room on the ground floor.
There is a luxury fitted kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, automatic washing machine, fridge / freezer, table and chairs to seat 8 comfortably. The lounge has 3 seater and 2 seater sofas, 2 chairs, pine chest and wheelbarrow(!), colour tv and video, a woodburning stove and glazed double doors to the dining room, with a lovely view.
There is a heated indoor swimming pool (6m x 3m with power jet) shared with the other three cottages at Morfa Ganol. There is a paved courtyard and access to fields and coastal path. There is parking for at least two cars. Oil central heating and logs included. Pets are welcome free. Bed linen is provided but please bring your own towels. For horse lovers there is stabling available.
There are wonderful beaches within an easy walk including Llangrannog and Penbryn (National Trust) and a short drive takes you to Tresaith, Mwnt and Cwm Tydu. This coastal area of Ceredigion offers some wonderful beaches, a spectacular coastline and lots of quiet country lanes which wind though the wooded valleys descending to the coastal coves, a perfect place for walkers and cyclists. The bay itself is home to a colony of bottlenose dolphins, and you can often see them from the coastal path and headlands. In the late summer and autumn, grey seals are also a common sight, watching you as you walk along the paths.
Llangrannog is a picture book seaside village. There are excellent pub meals to be found here and the best meringues ever in the beach front cafe.
The other cottages in this group are Morfa Coachhouseand Y Bwthyn and Morfa Cove Cottage. Interested in booking more than one cottage? See the Group Availability Table.
