Watch the boats going out to sea from the comfort of this beautiful holiday house. 8 The Moorings is a spacious, comfortable detached house situated in a wonderful position overlooking the Teifi estuary. Recently modernised and extended to create a light and spacious holiday house, the floor to ceiling windows allow stunning views over the estuary and to the fields beyond.

The house is located in the lovely Pembrokeshire village of St Dogmaels and is set just off the road at the entrance to a quiet cluster of houses known as The Moorings. The house is ideally positioned for easy access to the pontoon, where children gather in the summer to catch crabs and if you have a boat, it is the perfect place to load and unload. Less than half a mile away is Poppit Sands, a large and beautiful stretch of sweeping sand and dunes, ideal for dog walking and all other beach activities. The area has so much to offer, amazing coastal walks, many beautiful beaches, fishing, boating, kayaking and the historic St Dogmaels Abbey to name but a few.

There are two great pubs nearby, one of which is only 2 minutes walk away from the house and serves delicious food. A 5 minute walk will take you into the centre of St Dogmaels where there is an excellent fish and chip shop, a general store, an art gallery and an opportunity to buy fresh local fish when the blackboard is out!

Accommodation
8 The Moorings sleeps 8 people in 3 first floor bedrooms, one of which has fabulous views over the estuary. The two doubles have en suite bathrooms and super-king sized beds while the third bedroom has 2 bunks sleeping 4. There is also a downstairs bathroom with bath, shower and a washing machine and a spare room for storing all the usual gear that accumulates on wonderful seaside holidays. This room has a fold out bed/settee and could be used as a kids’ play room or extra bedroom.

The sitting room and open plan kitchen is light, comfortable and well equipped. There are two comfortable settees and two arm chairs for sitting around the wood burner and large plasma screen TV. In the well equipped kitchen, meals are taken at the peninsula bar with bar stools for eight.

There is underfloor heating in the kitchen and sitting room with electric panel heaters elsewhere.

Outside
Sliding doors open from the sitting room onto a large decked area with table and chairs, ideal for BBQs and alfresco dining.
