Less than 10 minutes’ woodland walk from the sea, above the Pembrokeshire village of Little Haven, Maple Cottage is a stone-fronted farm storehouse which has been imaginatively rebuilt to form a spacious and comfortable holiday home sleeping four to six. Maple Cottage is great for both summer and winter holidays; an ideal base for all tastes of holiday: walking, water sports, bird watching, sightseeing, quiet 'get away from the busy life', romantic and many more.
Situated in an old farmyard converted into a collection of holiday cottages, it has the most secluded position in the corner of the site. The holiday complex is in a quiet, secluded area with no through traffic. Maple cottage has been approved under the Walkers Welcome and Cyclists Welcome schemes.
In the village, renowned for its beauty, are three pubs which all serve excellent food, a post office/café, craft shop, art galleries, restaurant and wonderful sea views. The village is also on the Pembrokeshire coastal path – miles of exciting walking and superb coastal scenery in both directions. There is a slipway, used by local fishermen and from where boat enthusiasts may launch. The blue flag beaches of Broad Haven and Newgale are close by. Broad Haven is within walking distance along the beach at low tide and has a long stretch of golden sand, water sports, shops, more pubs and places to eat. Within about twenty miles of Maple are numerous Pembrokeshire attractions such as Oakwood leisure park, Canaston Bowl, Folly Farm, Fishguard and Tenby.
Accommodation
Maple Cottage sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms, upstairs is the spacious galleried crog loft bedroom which has sloping ceilings but an adult can walk at full height in most of it. It has two single beds, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside cabinets and a flat screen TV. There are three Velux windows (two of which have lovely sea views) and an open ridge beamed gallery overlooking the kitchen/living area. The double bedroom is on the ground floor and has a king size bed, flatscreen TV and glass doors to the sun patio. It has an ensuite bathroom with a power shower, WC and wash hand basin.
Also on the ground floor is the main bathroom which has a bath with shower over, WC and wash hand basin. A washer/dryer is fitted under the stairs. One of the sofas can accommodate 2 extra guests. Double doors lead to the fully-fitted kitchen which has marble work tops, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, hob and oven and a French-style refectory table which seats eight.
