Maes-y-Derw Coach House is a self-contained holiday cottage in the beautiful grounds of an Edwardian residence, only a 10-minute walk from the picturesque and bustling market town of Newcastle Emlyn. Within an easy drive of the sandy beaches of the Cardigan Heritage Coast, Maes-y-Derw commands views over the Teifi Valley, its renowned salmon and sea trout fishing river, and over the market town.

The converted Coach House is a 2-storey annex to the main building with its own entrance. It is furnished to a high standard and provides self-catering accommodation for a maximum of 4 adults (including 2 on a convertible sofa) and 2 children.

It offers a fully fitted kitchen including oven/hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and all plates, glasses and utensils. There is a lounge/diner with a leather corner settee (which converts to a large double bed) and a widescreen television and DVD player. There is a double bedroom with hand basin and a children's bunk bedroom upstairs, as well as a bathroom with a shower over the bath. Bed linen (duvets) and towels are included, as is the central heating. Electricity is via a £1 coin operated meter. There is private off-road parking and a garden area. Dogs are permitted by prior arrangement at a charge of £15 per week. Prices below are for a party of four. An extra one or two people can be accommodated at an additional cost.
Short Breaks are available and if you are tired of cooking for yourself, Maes-y-Derw Country House is a 5-Star B&B where Katherine can provide high quality 3-course evening meals by prior arrangement.

For those interested in fishing, fishing permits are available for £40 per week by prior arrangement. The permits cover a privately owned half-mile stretch of the River Teifi, within sight of Maes-y-Derw.

Newcastle Emlyn is a thriving market town at the heart of the Teifi Valley with an amazing history. You will find a friendly community, an excellent choice of shops, pubs, eating places and activities. It was here that the last dragon in Wales was killed while resting on the castle walls! The castle, built in 1240, was the centre of the town for 400 years. You can still visit the ruins and picnic in the grounds next to the River Teifi. This scenic River Teifi flows over 70 miles from the Cambrian mountains to Cardigan Bay and forms the boundary between Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion. It supplies salmon, trout and grayling for fishing, as well as white and flat water for canoeing and kayaking.
