Lower Calf Field Farm Cottage is ideally situated for exploring the whole of beautiful Pembrokeshire. This converted farm building offers style and comfort in a rural location yet is only 6 miles to the beach and less than 3 miles to the historic county town of Haverfordwest. It is a short walk from the cottage to the pub, The Olde Inn, which welcomes children and dogs and offers good value pub grub.
The cottage is part of the original range of buildings in the non-working farmyard. It is attached to the old milking parlour/hay loft which is not in use. The other buildings are a cart house, barn, pig sty (not occupied!) and the farmhouse which is occupied by the owners and Molly, a very friendly Jack Russell.
Lower Calf Field Farm is a smallholding of 36 acres, made up of a range of gardens, a recently planted orchard with bee hives, conservation farmland, including two Special Areas of Conservation, woods and water meadows, all of which guests are welcome to explore and enjoy.
Accommodation
Lower Calf Field Farm cottage sleeps 4 to 5 in two king size bedrooms. The two large bedrooms both have en-suite facilities with the green bedroom having a wet room suitable for disabled persons with drive-in shower, wash hand basin, WC and heated towel rail. This bedroom is approached on the level from the sitting area and has a slate floor with rugs, high beamed ceiling, king size bed, chaise longue, wardrobe, dressing table, bedside tables and bookshelves.
The blue bedroom at the other end of the cottage has the flexibility of being a double or triple room. It is approached from the dining area by two steps and has an open beamed ceiling, slate flooring with rugs, one king and one single bed, bedside cabinets, built-in wardrobes, dressing mirror, chest of drawers and double doors to the terrace. The en-suite bathroom contains a bath with overhead shower, WC, wash hand basin and heated towel rail.
The entrance from the sun-capturing south/west facing terrace is into the open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting room with its high open beamed ceiling and a slate floor. In the sitting area there is a multifuel stove, two comfy sofas, digital TV with Freeview and an iPod dock, DVD player, CD/radio, coffee table and a bookcase with a good selection of books and games. The dining area has table and chairs and over table lighting. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances including gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave oven and automatic washer/dryer.
Outside
The terrace at the front of the cottage and the area behind the cottage are for the exclusive use of cottage guests and you are welcome to enjoy other parts of the grounds. Outdoor table, chairs, parasol and a barbeque are situated on the front terrace which is a great place to view Pembrokeshire sunsets. Children are welcome. The grounds are all fenced and the yard gated. There is a pond and low walls outside the cottage so toddlers need to be well supervised. There is ample parking in the yard with flat and ramped access from the parking area which makes the property accessible to the disabled.

Book online but don't pay now. You will need to pay the deposit to the owner. A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking; the balance should be paid 6 weeks before the start of the holiday. Please add £15 per pet per week if bringing any pets.
