Llain Cottage is a romantic hideaway for 2, tucked away in the glorious Welsh countryside, only 2 miles from the quiet secluded sandy beach of Cei Bach and 3 miles from the picturesque harbour town of New Quay. The cottage is at the end of a private track, detached from the main house and is very secluded.
Surrounding the cottage are woods and fields, perfect for walking as they are crisscrossed with numerous footpaths and bridleways. An hour’s walk from the cottage will take you to the stunning cliff and coastal paths, without going on any busy roads.
The village of Cross Inn is one mile away. Here there is a friendly pub which is open all day and serves good home cooked food. There are also three shops, a small supermarket, a post office and newsagent and a shop which sells local homemade pies, cakes, biscuits, jams, chutneys, etc.
The old harbour of New Quay is the perfect place for watching dolphins and seals. There are frequent boat trips to the picturesque former smuggling village of Llangrannog and fishing trips for the local mackerel.
Accommodation
Llain Cottage can accommodate two adults comfortably in one bedroom with a super king size bed. This bed can be separated into two single beds if required. The bedroom also has a ‘put you up’ bed for a child. There is a wardrobe, chest of drawers and a Smart TV with Freeview and Internet access and DVD.
Just across the entrance hall is the shower room with shower, toilet and wash basin. The compact kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave and fridge.
With a pleasant outlook over the secluded rear garden, the sun room provides a sitting and dining area with a marble top table and chairs and two armchairs. A hair dryer, extra bedding and several local walking books and maps are provided.
Outside
In the front of the cottage is a flat gravel yard which is surrounded by flowers and shrubs. There are two steps up to the front door but no more steps once inside. There is ample car parking space and a car can be driven right up to the door.
The garden at the rear of Llain Cottage is completely enclosed with a high fence, thick hedging and a paved patio area. A table, chairs and sun loungers are provided.
