If you are looking to escape to a haven of peace and tranquillity, Kingfisher Cottage set in the heart of the famous West Wales Teifi Valley provides the perfect solution. It is one of four cottages at Dol-Haidd Isaf, a unique site on a low rise overlooking the River Teifi near the market town of Newcastle Emlyn, which provide the opportunity to see a variety of wildlife in their natural environment including otters, badgers, foxes, buzzards, red kites, barn owls and dippers. Grounds of 40 acres surround the cottages, which are grouped around a south facing courtyard. At the rear, they overlook a lawn which stretches down to the famous River Teifi. An easy level access makes the river area particularly suitable for anyone with disabilities. Game fishing is available for guests by pre-arrangement.

Kingfisher Cottage is single-storey and sleeps four in 2 twin bedded rooms. It is equipped with electric cooker, microwave oven, refrigerator, crockery, cutlery, television and DVD player. Heating is by storage and convector heaters. All beds are single divans with duvet quilts and blankets. Bed linen is provided, please bring your own towels. There is a comfortable living room with kitchen area. The bathroom has a shower fitted rather than a bath. The front door leads to the courtyard and the back door opens onto a patio area that leads to the lawn.

The cottage is heated with night storage heaters. Electricity is included in the price. There is ample car parking space adjacent to the cottage. Up to 2 well-behaved pets are welcome at an additional cost of £20 each. Dogs should be kept under close control around the cottages but may be exercised in our extensive grounds. The dog must not be left alone in the property. Owners need to provide a basket or blanket for the dog as pets are welcome on the clear understanding that no pet is allowed in the bedrooms or on the furniture. Occupancy is from 4pm Saturday to 10am the following Saturday. Short breaks, when available, are for a minimum of four nights.

There is a large drying/freezer/rod room with a coin operated washing machine and tumble dryer for your use. There is a maximum of 2 rods per cottage with a weekly maximum of 5 rods. Weekly fishing charges: 1 April – 16 June £55, 17 June – 17 October £75. Anglers must purchase their own rod licence (not included).Young persons in full time education fish free of charge.

Kingfisher Cottage is ideally situated as a base from which to discover the coast and countryside of West Wales. There are three Circular Walks within three miles of Dol-Haidd Isaf, many more are published in Teifi and Carmarthenshire Circular Walks book available in all of our cottages. The nearby beaches and coves are unspoilt and the many miles of coastline challenge all visiting walkers to view the spectacular scenery and marine life along the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.
