Swn yr Afon is a Georgian style cottage in Aberaeron, just a few easy yards from the town centre, is an ideal base for holidays covering a wide range of interests since being on the main coast road it offers good access to the rest of Cardigan Bay. It is less than 500 yards from the pebble beach. Aberaeron has several pubs, restaurants, cafes and takeaways providing plenty of choice for daytime and evening dining. There are a number of shops and banks, a leisure centre, swimming pool, library and craft centre. Events held in the town include the seafood festival, the Welsh Pony and Cob Festival, a rugby tournament, an annual carnival and other art and musical events, as well as boating and yachting events based round the sheltered picturesque harbour, just 250 yards walk from Swn yr Afon. The bus stop is just 160 yards away with routes to Aberystwyth, Lampeter, Tregaron, Cardigan, and beyond. Swn yr Afon sleeps 4 in 2 first floor bedrooms: one double bedroom with wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside chests and lamps, and a twin bedroom with two single beds, mirrored wardrobe, bedside chest and lamp. On the same floor is the bathroom with bath with shower over, washbasin with illuminated mirror and shaver point, toilet, heated towel rail and airing cupboard. On the ground floor, Swn yr Afon has a fitted kitchen, with fridge / freezer, dishwasher, oven, microwave, and a dining table with seating for four. The living room is equipped with sofa and two armchairs, nest of tables, stereo, satellite TV, radio / CD player, and radiant fireplace heater. Outside, there is a small garden to the rear, with patio area and clothes line. This area is not enclosed. There is parking on the street, with an adjacent non exclusive space. Also available for £20 per week supplement , a ground floor annex off the garden, with toilet, washing machine, tumble drier( including electricity), sink, and freezer, ideal for the storage of equipment for outdoor pursuits such as walking, fishing, and cycling. Prices include bed linen, hand towels, electricity, and small welcome pack with starter quantities of milk, tea, sugar, toilet and kitchen rolls, dishwasher tablets, etc. Heating throughout is by electric storage radiators. Please bring your own beach towels. One well behaved pet is welcome at an additional charge of £10 per week. No smoking in the property. Book online but don't pay now. You will need to pay the deposit to the owner. A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking; the balance should be paid 6 weeks before the start of the holiday.
