Pen Y Fedw is an 18th century detached farmhouse on a working farm near the south coast of Wales in Carmarthenshire. It is in a very rural situation midway between Carmarthen and Kidwelly and only 3 miles from the nearest beach at Ferryside. Pen Y Fedw is easily accessible from the south of Wales and the M4 motorway and is near the sandy beaches of the south coast including Cefn Sidan part of the Pembrey Country Park. Here there are eight miles of sand with magnificent views of the Gower coastline. Cefn Sidan is well-known for safe bathing within the lifeguard patrolled area during the summer period. Other attractions at Pembrey Country Park include a dry ski slope and toboggan run, pitch and putt course and crazy golf, cycle track, miniature railway, adventure playground, nature trails and orienteering course. Pen Y Fedw is also only 7 miles from Fflos Las the newest racecourse in the UK and is convenient for the National Botanic Garden of Wales at Llanarthney.

Pen Y Fedw sleeps 8 in four first floor bedrooms. The main bedroom has a four-poster bed and ensuite bathroom with bath, toilet and wash basin. The second bedroom has a double bed and ensuite shower room with shower, toilet and wash basin. The third bedroom has a double and single bed and this room is accessed through the fourth bedroom which has a single bed. Adjoining this room is the family bathroom with a bath with shower over, toilet and wash basin.

The spacious ground floor has two large and comfortable lounges both with period fireplaces (not in use); the first lounge has a TV and the second has French doors to the garden. An oil-fired Rayburn in an inglenook warms the dining room and this leads to the large farmhouse kitchen, equipped with an electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.

Outside there is a pretty enclosed garden and off-road parking for several cars. The house is centrally heated and all fuel is included. Bed linen and towels are provided but guests are asked to bring their own beach towels. Pen Y Fedw cannot accommodate pets and smoking is not permitted.
