Holly Cottage is a year round destination that offers a different holiday experience depending on the time of year you choose and is a perfect base to explore and enjoy the surrounding Pembrokeshire Coast. Holly Cottage is a beautiful converted three bedroom holiday home set in a courtyard development that is still known as Woodlands Farm. This quiet secluded spot is perched above Little Haven with fine views over St Brides Bay, yet is only a ten-minute leisurely stroll along a wooded National Park footpath into the heart of the village and two beaches, Little Haven and Broad Haven.

Little Haven nestles in a quiet cove in the southern corner of St. Brides Bay in Pembrokeshire and is undoubtedly one of the most delightful seaside villages in Wales. The settlement dates back to the iron-age and was once a base for sea trading and smuggling. Nowadays the safe, sandy beach is well used by inshore fishermen, dinghy sailors, windsurfers and families carrying buckets and spades. When the tide is out, there are clean sands to play on, rocks to clamber over, and a stream to splash in as well as the sea – just what young children want. The village is a popular meeting place for visitors and local people with three pubs, a bistro, a cafe, galleries and a pottery/craft shop.

Broad Haven is a larger village with a grocery shop, pubs, café/bar, restaurant and freshly cooked fish & chips to order. For something more energetic, visit Haven Sports and hire yourself some wetsuits, kayaks, body/surf boards and take to the waves. If this all sounds too wet, enjoy a stroll on the numerous coastal paths all on the door step.

Holly Cottage is a semi detached former farmhouse of Woodlands Farm, with kitchen/lounge, sunroom and three bedrooms. It has been carefully modernised with a lovely level garden in the stunning National Park setting of Little Haven, Pembrokeshire with sea views over St Brides Bay.

The accommodation
Holly Cottage sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms, the master, a twin room and a bunk room all located on the first floor. The Master bedroom is a light room with dual aspect windows, with views over St Brides Bay to the front, garden and fields to the side. It has a double bed, antique pine wardrobe, chest of drawers and monk’s bench (robes are available upon request!).

The twin room has views over the garden and open fields to the rear, two single beds, antique pine wardrobe, chest of drawers and airing cupboard with immersion heater.

The third bedroom has views over the garden and open fields to rear, bunk beds and chest of drawers.

On the ground floor is the open Plan Kitchen/Lounge, an attractive room with natural slate floor, two leather settees and a Lloyd Loom chair set around a fireplace with a solid multifuel stove, TV & CD/ DVD player. On the opposite side is the well equipped kitchen with a range of wall and base units in white, electric hob/cooker with extractor hood over, under counter dishwasher, washing machine, free standing stainless steel fridge/freezer, double ceramic sink, slate splash back and solid beech work tops and free standing elm table to seat four. Glazed double doors lead to the Sun Room which has a natural slate floor, Velux skylight, glazed double doors and ceiling height sealed glazed units on two sides over looking the garden. A double settee, two single wicker style chairs with cushions, wicker table, floor and wall lighting and pine table to seat six make this the perfect room to relax in.

From the kitchen/lounge is a single door leading into the hall with doors and stairs off to the bathroom with natural slate floor, w/c, separate shower, walls part tiled with mosaic and limestone tiles, hand basin, bath with over shower mixer taps and vertical towel rail.

There is under stairs storage for shoes and coats. The stairs lead to the large landing with a seating area and views of St. Brides Bay.

Outside
Access to the garden from the house is from the sun room to a large flat garden laid predominantly to lawn with a charcoal barbeque, tables and chairs. Parking for one car to the front of the property, side gate access to the garden. An on site ‘over spill’ car park is available on a first come first serve basis.
