Situated right in the centre of Wales on the 1200 foot contour with stunning views down the Wye valley, Henfaes Bach is a single storey studio attached to the owners' cottage. An ideal base for walking, bird watching, and exploring the principality, it is 1 mile by road or footpath over the hill from Llangurig, said to be the highest village in Wales. Llangurig has a post office/general store, 2 pubs with restaurants, a church and 2 chapels. Many birds are frequently seen at Henfaes including red kites, buzzards, ravens, great spotted woodpeckers, redstart and others.

The Elan Valley with reservoirs/lakes and extensive nature reserves, the Hafren forest, the Clywedog reservoir, the sources of rivers Wye and Severn and the Gigrin kite feeding station are a short distance away. Aberystwyth and Cardigan Bay resorts are 45 minutes drive.

The accommodation
Henfaes Bach sleeps 2 in a cosy bedroom with a double bed. There is a shower room with toilet and wash basin and a comfortable open plan living room with a sofa bed, chairs, dining table and coffee table, radio/CD player and digital TV. The well-equipped kitchen area has a cooker, fridge, sink, toaster, kettle and microwave.

Outside
The bungalow is all on one level the only step (4'') in the entrance doorway a car may be parked immediately outside the door but there is not enough space inside for a wheelchair. Visitors are encouraged to make use of the owners' large garden surrounding the property.
