Gorse Bank is comfortable detached bungalow sleeping 4 or 5, set just a few minutes walk from the Pembrokeshire National Coastal Path in Marloes. Marloes itself is a small village community with local shop, pub, café and of course the famous Marloes Sands beach. Set on a detached corner plot on a quiet lane, Gorse Bank is the perfect place for a quiet stay in a spectacular area of outstanding beauty. Just 5 minutes down the road is the popular sailing village of Dale, with its sporting activities of surfing, fishing, sailing, boating or just catching a ride to the local islands. With several beaches within about 10 minutes drive, you won’t be stuck for places to go and many of them have good facilities for eating, drinking or sporting activities. Don’t forget the birdspotters’ paradise of Skomer right on your doorstep, too. Further activities within driving distance include, walking, fishing, horse riding, golfing, theme parks and many more including a beach that has been voted within the top 5 in the world (Yes – the world – ‘Times Survey’).
Being detached, the gardens at Gorse Bank catch the Pembrokeshire sunlight at all times of the day, with the rear of the property being the more likely area for an evening barbecue. Alongside the adjoining garage is a storage area for a trailer / boat, as well as off road parking for 2 cars if required.
Gorse Bank has two bedrooms, Bedroom 1 with bunks and a single bed (sleeps 3) and Bedroom 2 with a standard double bed. The living / dining room includes a wood burning stove, sofas, hi fi, digital TV and extendable dining table. The kitchen comprises cooker, sink, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and ample storage space. The bathroom has a shower over bath, sink and WC.
Bed linen is provided but please bring your own beach and personal towels. Electricity is included in the price and the first bag of logs or bucket of coal is also included, but thereafter charged at cost. Please note that Gorse Bank is a smoke free zone (inside). One well-behaved pet is welcome at an additional charge of £20. If bringing a pet, a refundable deposit of £20 is also required and this will be returned subject to the property being left in good condition. In the event you want to forget the big shop en route and do it online beforehand, Tesco in Haverfordwest do deliver (the post code is SA62 3AX it’s number 4 ‘Gorse Bank’).
