Golygfa Preseli (Preseli View) is a recent barn conversion with STUNNING PANORAMIC VIEWS of the Preseli Mountains. With air sourced underfloor heating and a log burner; it retains many of its original features including wooden beams, stone or lime plastered walls and slate and wood flooring.
The cottage sleeps six to seven (plus cot) in three bedrooms, two double and one twin. The main double room (with fold-up children’s bed) has an en-suite shower room with toilet and wet room shower. There is a second bathroom with toilet and wet room shower. The kitchen diner has a table, fitted kitchen with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and electric cooker. The washing machine is in the utility room. The lounge has digital television, DVD player and comfortable seating for 6. All are provided for your stay. Bed linen and towels for use in the cottage are provided. A cot is available on request. There is a hard stone driveway, with ample parking for vehicles. Entrance to the cottage is off concrete, a ramp is available, making access suitable for wheelchair users. Unfortunately no smoking is allowed. A maximum of 2 well-behaved pets are permitted at an additional cost of £30 per pet per week.
Golygfa Preseli is across the road from a working dairy farm, home of the owners Ieuan and Jan and their family. The area is very rural, and many wild animals and birds can be seen - rabbits, bats, buzzards and red kites, to name a few. This is a great place to unwind and enjoy the rural scene and activities, or to try the adrenaline rush of outdoor and water sports, available for all levels of ability.
The village of Llanboidy is steeped in history, with many of the original buildings made with stone from local quarries. It is mainly an agricultural area, with footpaths to give adequate scope for a family walk, or a more adventurous hike. Llanboidy has a Spar shop, a bi-lingual Church, Welsh chapel and a pub - The Lamb Inn. It is 6 miles from the main A40, and the towns of St. Clears and Whitland. Crymych is 8 miles north on the A478 Cardigan to Tenby road.
The Cardiganshire coast, with its new coast path linking with the Pembrokeshire coast path, right around to the bays of Carmarthensbire are all within easy driving distance. Tenby is one of the main tourist towns, but there are many bays and beaches ideal for families, water sports, climbing, coasteering etc. Boat trips go to, or around, the islands, with seals, puffins, dolphins etc. to be seen when in season. Oakwood theme park and Folly Farm are just two of the many local tourist attractions. DIY to full livery and outdoor arena hire is available locally.
