There are spectacular southerly Teifi valley views from this chalet bungalow, only a quarter of a mile from Llandysul Paddlers Canoe Centre where lessons are provided daily. Gilwen is situated along a quiet lane on the outskirts of Llandysul, with easy access to all the facilities of the town including a bus service to neighbouring towns and villages and a selection of pubs and eating places. The sports centre and swimming pool are nearby and the area is good for walking and cycling. Llandysul boasts a fine 13th century church and was once a centre at the heart of sheep farming in the area. There are museums about the Welsh woollen industry nearby. The unique Coracle centre and Cenarth falls are not too far away and the lovely beaches of beautiful Cardigan bay are 20 minutes away.

The accommodation
Gilwen can accommodate four to five and has been professionally converted to provide a roomy and comfortable self-contained annexe, which is tastefully furnished with some period items. There are two bedrooms on the first floor. The master bedroom has a king size bed, with wardrobe, dressing chest and a wash basin with light and shaver point over. The other bedroom has two single beds, wardrobe and a lovely washstand providing plenty of storage. The large landing has a bed in a false chest of drawers. All the beds have anti-allergy pillows, pillow and mattress protectors and quilts. Spare blankets are provided for each bed. No cot or high chair is available. There is a shower room on the first floor.

Downstairs is the kitchen/dining room, with electric full size cooker, microwave, washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, toaster, electric kettle, iron, ironing board and clothes airer. The table will seat five easily. The sitting room has comfortable arm chairs for at least four, (with a spare chair in the hall). The digital Freeview TV has an ipod dock, and DVD. There is also a radio/CD player. Lots of history, gardening and tractor magazines can be found in the cupboard. There is a coal effect electric fire in an attractive fire surround.

Outside
There are plenty of parking spaces for cars alongside the cottage and there is a level path to the front door. Visitors have full use of our garden and garden furniture, washing line and pegs. The garden is mainly shrubs at the front, vegetables and herbaceous at the side and lawn at the back.
