Watch the dolphins from your balcony overlooking the beach at Estyn y Mor, this stunning newly built cottage in Aberporth, a popular seaside village on the Cardigan Bay Heritage coast. Live the ‘beach life’ in total luxury in this unique property. To take best advantage of its superb outlook over the sandy beach, Estyn y Mor is built ‘upside-down’: the open plan living area on the first floor opens onto a large glass fronted balcony facing the sea. Here you can sit in the sun, settle into the West Wales pace of life and watch the world (and the dolphins in the bay) go by.
Once at Estyn y Mor you may not need to use your car until you leave: it’s an easy walk to Aberporth’s two pubs which serve food, two cafes, an Indian and a Chinese takeaway and the village shop. The local fisherman, who is the owner’s brother, will deliver fresh lobster, crab and prawns right to your door! The 63 mile long Ceredigion coast path passes within a few yards so you can walk off-road almost from the door, exploring the nearby coves with their sheltered sandy beaches. Live beach life to the full with surfing, kayaking or scuba diving – or try coasteering in nearby Pembrokeshire.
Explore the undiscovered beauty of Ceredigion: there are several sandy beaches, rocky headlands and fishing villages within a few minutes drive and opportunities abound for golf, horse riding, quad biking, paintball games, fishing, canoeing and other more energetic pursuits. The nearby picturesque market town of Cardigan has an eclectic range of shops and a thriving theatre complex. Our quiet country roads offer scenic drives to visit places such as New Quay, Tenby, St Davids, and Aberystwyth. With a number of excellent restaurants within reach, many pubs serving fine food and real ale as well as beachfront cafes, you can take a holiday from cooking and still try the locally caught fresh seafood.
Accommodation
Estyn y Mor sleeps 2 in a spacious ground floor double bedroom with sea views. The luxury shower room, also on this floor, has a walk-in shower, wash basin and toilet.
The first floor living area is open plan with two leather sofas, 37” TV with DVD player, WiFi, CD player with Ipod docking station, dining table and chairs and a well-equipped kitchen area. This has an electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
Outside
Glass doors lead from the first floor living area to the large glass fronted balcony which faces the sea. This has patio tables and chairs with outside lights for those balmy nights sipping wine to the sound of lapping waves. Underneath the balcony there is off-road parking for two cars. Kayaks, windsurfers and bikes can be stored in the large lockable outbuilding to the rear where there is also a tumble dryer.
