Dyfed is a cosy 200 year old cottage in Newport, Pembs that has been completely restored. A real gem of a cottage, it is ideal for couples seeking that perfect getaway all year round. Only 200 yards from the centre of Newport, with its shops, restaurants and pubs, Dyfed provides an excellent base for many activities including:
Walking: Dyfed is beside the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, providing miles of magnificent walking with a dedicated bus service for return to Newport from many points.
Golf: Newport Links golf course is 2 miles away, a truly enjoyable, testing links. Recently extended to an 18 hole course further enhancing its appeal and adding to the experience. Almost every tee and green has fantastic sea and/or mountain views.
Angling: The owner is an ex international fly fisherman and is pleased to advise guests on fishing for Salmon and Sea Trout in the nearby river Nevern, as well as Bass in the estuary.
Boating: The yacht club with its launching slips is a short walk away. Visitors moorings are available at £20 per week.
Tennis: A public hard court is nearby and can be booked at £5 per hour.
Birding: Enthusiasts will be absorbed for hours on the estuary with waders, raptors, ducks, geese, gulls, terns, cormorants, herons, kingfishers with the occasional rarity or two, and the occasional otter.
Painting: A short walk from the cottage will lead the artist to a wealth of beautiful land and seascapes.
Accommodation
Tastefully furnished for a discerning couple, Dyfed sleeps 2 in a twin bedroom.
The exposed stone walls and inglenook open fireplace in the lounge have been retained, creating a comforting atmosphere from a bygone age with the modern facilities of Freeview television and WiFi.
The kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, and deepfreeze.
The modern bathroom has a corner bath with shower over, wash basin and WC.
Outside
The kitchen/diner leads to a small enclosed rear garden, 6 slate steps lead to a raised paved patio area, surrounded by mature shrubs, creating a sheltered sunny spot to enjoy an alfresco meal, or quiet relaxing drink. There is road-side parking and a free public car park 75 yards away.

Book online but don't pay now. You will need to pay the deposit to the owner. A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking; the balance should be paid 6 weeks before the start of the holiday. Pets are charged at £10 per week.
