    The nearest beach is Cwmtydu which was the perfect landing spot for smugglers of salt and French brandy! Surrounded by hills and woods – it’s very private even now – hundreds of years ago it would have been almost impossible to police!

    The Wales Coast Path runs through Cwmtydu and will take you to New Quay in the north and Llangrannog in the south.
