Set in the heart of the Cothi valley, adjacent to the river, Cothi View is a cosy semi detached cottage with river stone walls, fireplaces and natural tiled floors. It is only a few paces from our pub, The Black Lion Inn with its riverside beer garden to relax and enjoy the fresh home made food and meet the friendly locals. Cothi View is just a few minutes away from Brechfa Forest with its renowned mountain bike trails suitable for everyone from beginner level to severe - you won’t need to load bikes onto cars: you can ride to the trails from the cottage.
There are plenty of lovely walking trails in the forest, with the advantage of it not being overused, so you can find a quiet spot and lose yourself completely. The forest has the Gorlech River meandering through it.
Within 40 minutes are the best beaches, amazing hill walks, mountain bike trails, horse riding, great castles, gardens and the best smelling air I have ever sniffed. It’s a great place.
The accommodation
Cothi View sleeps up to 6 in three bedrooms: a double, a twin and a single. The double bedroom has a large wardrobe, chest of drawers and room for a travel cot which we can provide. The twin room can be converted to a single room to create more space, with a built in wardrobe. The single room has a pull out bed that becomes a double as well as a built in wardrobe.
The bathroom is upstairs and has a basin and a large shower with a built in hand rail and seat if this is required. The toilet is separate and there is another one downstairs near the kitchen.
The kitchen is new, and offers a fridge and freezer, microwave, oven and grill. There is a spacious lounge with two sofas and an armchair. We have Sky TV and a multifuel burning stove, and have provided some books to read and games to play. There is a large utility area in the rear of the house, with toilet, washing machine, woodstore and secure storage space for up to 8 mountain bikes.
Outside
15 steps lead up to the garden. There is a large patio with tables and chairs, and it is at the bottom of a hill, so you feel like you really are in the middle of the countryside when you sit in the garden. There is also an area for washing mountain bikes. There is off road parking for one car and space for another on the road in front of the cottage.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking; the balance should be paid 8 weeks before the start of the holiday. Please send a damages deposit of £150 with your balance payment, refundable if the cottage is left in good order.
