Copper Beech Cottage was formerly the servant’s wing of Myrtle Hill House and takes its name from the magnificent tree at the front of the main house. This house was extended during the Victorian era and retains many period features such as the original hob grate in the lounge. During the past few months the accommodation has been sensitively renovated to provide a new kitchen, Carmarthen style oak panelled doors have been fitted and the bathrooms have all been refurbished to a high standard.

Llansadwrn is a small, pretty village with a lovely church and good, friendly pub set in the Carmarthenshire Fans, just outside the western boundary of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Easily accessible from the A40 but unspoilt and quiet all year round, Llansadwrn provides the perfect base for exploring south west Wales whether you are on foot, on a bike or in the car.

The coastline of three counties is within easy reach as are the lovely towns of Brecon, Tenby, Llandeilo and Lampeter. Other local attractions include the Kite feeding station at Llanddeusant, The Wetlands Centre at Llanelli, Dinefwr park (The National Trust), Carreg Cennen, Dinefwr and Kidwelly castles, Pembrey Country Park, Dinas RSPB Nature Reserve. Slightly further afield, but well worth a visit, are Cardiff Castle, St Fagans Museum of Welsh Life, Folly Farm (not just for the young ones) and the beautiful (but tiny) city of St Davids.

Accommodation
The cottage sleeps 4 people in three first floor bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms. Two have king size beds, one with a shower room with corner shower, wash basin and toilet and one with a bathroom with bath with overhead shower, wash basin and toilet. The other bedroom has twin beds (which can be converted to a super king size bed) and the bathroom has a bath with overhead shower, wash basin and toilet.

Although the beds will sleep six, the cottage can only accommodate a maximum of 4 as there is only space for 4 sitting downstairs. The cosy lounge / dining room has comfortable seating, a digital TV, an open fire and a dining table and 4 chairs. The well equipped galley kitchen has a cooker, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer.

This cottage can be booked with Myrtle Hill Cottage to provide accommodation for up to 10 people.

Outside
Guests are very welcome to enjoy our large garden (with picnic tables) and produce from the gardens and eggs from the chickens are often available. There are two parking spaces for cars.
