Carew and Penally cottages are the result of a new barn conversion at Penlon Farm. We have taken much time and effort to achieve, what we feel is, superb accommodation reflected in the high quality of comfortable furnishing, appliances and overall finish.

Penlon is a 23 acre farm managed within the Tir Gofal Scheme on non-intensive, environmentally friendly farming. A small herd of Oxford Sandy and Black pigs and a flock of Lleyn sheep are the main livestock. Penlon is situated on a quiet tree covered lane leading out of the small village of Pontgarreg. Approximately 2 miles from the beaches of Llangrannog and within 15 minutes drive of the beaches at Penbryn, Cwm Tydu, Tresaith and Aberporth. Superb fishing and boating can be enjoyed locally and walking is a particularly pleasant past time along the numerous trails of the Cardigan Bay heritage coastline. An award winning farm shop, nine hole golf course and a dry ski slope are all within a 5 mile radius of Penlon.

Guests have full freedom of the farm. Children can have an escorted ride on Tommy, our twenty year old very patient small Welsh mountain pony, collect freshly laid eggs for breakfast or play safely in the completely enclosed cottage gardens. There is a multitude of wildlife to be found on the steading including badgers (at dusk and dawn) Rabbits, Squirrels, Red Kite (occasionally) and buzzards. The view from the top field is simply spectacular and on a clear day the Lleyn Peninsular and Snowdon can be seen. We are more than happy for guests to enjoy watching the farming activities such as shearing, lambing and farrowing etc. Home grown salad and vegetable produce is available for sale in season if required. Your Hosts, Gary and Debbie, want your holiday to be trouble free, relaxing and memorable and we will be readily available at the house to offer any help or assistance you may need.

Carew is a one bedroom cottage sleeping two in a double bed. The large fitted wardrobes provide ample storage space and a cot and high chair are available. There is a shower room containing a shower, wash basin and toilet. The cosy living room with its leather suite and dining table for 2 has a wood burning stove (first basket of logs included) T.V. D.V.D player and music centre and is open plan to the fully equipped kitchen area with electric oven, gas hob, washer dryer, fridge, microwave and breakfast bar. French windows lead out into the enclosed garden with patio, barbeque, space heater and bench table and chairs. Sorry no pets or smoking. Bed linen, gas and electricity are included. Please bring your own towels

Carew is an ideal cottage for 2 and if used in conjunction with Penalty makes a perfect holiday destination for the extended family. The log burner and full central heating makes it fine for all year use and parking is off road and adjacent.

The other cottage in this group is Penally. Interested in booking more than one cottage? See the Group Availability Table.
