Caban Tawel is situated on Newton East Farm near the village of Wolfscastle in the heart of rural Pembrokeshire. In an idyllic setting, the farm has over 14 acres of woodland as well as hay meadows, wetlands, ponds and the Western Cleddau forming part of the boundary. Guests are free to explore the 170 acres of farmland. This pretty log cabin sleeps up to 6 and is sited in its own grounds alongside woodland. Caban Tawel means peaceful cabin - a perfect description for this property built of Finnish pine. The floors throughout are bare wood with rugs in the living area, hallways and bedrooms. The floors in the bathroom and kitchen have non-slip floor coverings.

The spacious open plan living area has a TV, video recorder/player and CD stereo player along with a selection of games for all the family. The owners have also provided a wide range of leaflets and books to help you explore Pembrokeshire. The kitchen has a full size cooker with grill, fridge-freezer, and microwave. There is no washing machine but a laundry service can be provided. The owners will provide essentials such as tea, coffee and milk on your arrival. The dining room has an extending pine table with 6 chairs.

Caban Tawel sleeps up to 6 in three bedrooms all of which are furnished to a high standard. There are two double bedrooms, one with en-suite facilities, and one bunk room. The lower bunk can accommodate an adult but the upper bunk is only suitable for a child up to 16 years old. The en-suite bathroom has a shower cubicle, wash basin and toilet while the family bathroom has a shower over the full size bath, wash basin and toilet. The dining area has patio doors onto the large covered veranda with open views to the Preseli Hills beyond.

There is ample parking. Smoking is not allowed. Bed linen and towels are provided. There is full central heating and all fuel is included. Well behaved pets are welcome but visitors are requested to inform the owners of their intention to bring pets on booking. Caban Tawel is well insulated throughout and provides a cosy place to stay in winter and a light, cool and airy place to stay in summer.

Coarse and sea fishing are a short drive away and the farm itself has fishing rights on the Cleddau. Golf and pony trekking is available nearby. This is an ideal base for a holiday in Pembrokeshire, whether you are a walker, angler, wildlife enthusiast, or someone who simply wishes to relax on the beach.
