Bwthyn Llechen (Slate Cottage) is a comfortable traditional cottage in Fishguard on the north coast of Pembrokeshire. All the facilities of this small town such as shops, supermarkets, restaurants, pubs, galleries and a cinema / theatre are only a few minutes walk away. Bustling Fishguard is two towns: the modern one is high above the cliffs and the older lower town is clustered around the quayside and was famously featured in the films Moby Dick and Under Milk Wood. The harbour is central and now a major ferry port with daily sailings to Rosslare in Eire. In 1797 the town was the site of the last invasion of mainland which is now commemorated by a famous tapestry – often compared to the one in Bayeux – on display at the Town Hall. The cathedral city of St Davids is a short drive away as are the coves and beaches of the Pembrokeshire National Park, the beautiful Gwaun Valley and the Preseli hills.

Accommodation
The cottage sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms on the first floor: two double bedrooms (one with beams) and one twin bedroom. All the bedrooms have wardrobes. The first floor bathroom has a bath, separate shower, toilet and hand basin. There is also a toilet on the ground floor in the utility room.

On the ground floor, the large lounge is comfortably furnished and contains a gas fire and a digital TV with DVD. There is separate dining room with an electric ‘wood burner effect’ stove.

The kitchen has a gas cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and TV together with a dining table with four chairs. Just off the kitchen, the utility room has a toilet, sink, washing machine and tumble dryer. The stairs have child gates on the top and bottom.

Outside
To the rear of the cottage is a secluded, sunny, totally enclosed garden with garden furniture and a barbeque. There is direct access from the garden to the garage which holds two cars. At the end of the garden is a summer house / conservatory with easy chairs and a table.
