Brynderwen is a beautiful, traditionally furnished holiday apartment, sleeping 9 in four spacious bedrooms and within walking distance of the beach at Llangrannog. This village, with its two sandy beaches and magnificent cliffs, is picturesquely situated at the end of a steep valley, and Brynderwen 's large windows offer tranquil views of its woods and fields, while less than a mile from the beach. Llangrannog village has much to offer the visitor, with two beachside cafes, two pubs, both serving good food, and a village shop. The golden beaches are safe for children's play and perfect for sunbathing, while the glorious clifftop walks form part of the Ceredigion Heritage Coastal Path and offer a perpetually changing view of the whole of Cardigan Bay. Dolphins and seals are often seen from the cliffs or beach, (while at Brynderwen we have our own badgers, foxes and many different species of birds.) There are other lovely beaches within a short drive both north and south, and the Preseli mountains are three quarters of an hour away. The nearest towns are Cardigan and Aberaeron, with Tenby and Aberystwyth as the next ports of call, within an hour's drive. Llangrannog is an idyllic village in this undiscovered area; change pace to a slower way of life and enjoy the real Wales!

The holiday apartment is completely self-contained within a large and ancient house, with its own parking space, garden and front porch. From the entrance hall, stairs lead straight up to a spacious first-floor banistered landing with doors to kitchen, lounge, bathroom and one double bedroom. The lounge has an open fire and beautiful views across the valley from the large shuttered windows. There is a TV with Freeview and video/DVD. The spacious and bright kitchen/dining room also offers lovely views. It has an electric cooker, fridge-freezer and microwave. There is one double bedroom on this floor, with window-shutters and a fireplace. The large bathroom on this floor has a bath/shower, washbasin and toilet. There is also a washing machine and dryer. Apart from the carpeted living room, there are wooden floors with rugs throughout.

A wooden stairway leads to three further attic bedrooms on the second floor, one family room with a double bed and a single, one double bedroom and one twin room. All are spacious, light and airy with wooden floors and Velux windows (with blinds for sleepy holiday mornings). The triple room has an ensuite shower with toilet and washbasin. Visitors have their own garden. Apart from the front garden, with its flower beds and shrubs, there is a large "wild woodland" space with a tree-swing for older children and also a lawn to the rear. There is a barbecue, small patio with garden table and chairs, an outside rotary clothes-line and a parking space for up to four cars. Bed linen is supplied but guests are asked to bring their own towels, etc. Heating and hot water provided by gas boiler is included, as are logs for the fires. Sorry, no smoking inside the house. Up to two well-behaved pets are welcome by arrangement but please note that dogs are only allowed access to half the beach.

Visitors please note: Like that of many other country houses, Brynderwen's plumbing system drains into a "septic tank" whose ecology is designed to decompose waste naturally. Biodegradable cleaning materials are provided free of charge and we ask our guests to use these.
