Discover Little Haven
The tiny beach at Little Haven is popular with divers and for boating of all kinds. There is a slipway for launching small boats so you can sit on the beach or in the pub garden and watch them set out to sea – with varied success at times!
During low tide, you can stroll along the coast to a spacious bay known as The Settlands and continue to the larger town of Broad Haven if the tide is at its lowest point. Little Haven Beach is ideal for families, offering opportunities for building sandcastles, exploring rock pools, clambering over rocks, playing in the stream, and engaging in activities such as swimming, kayaking, or diving in the ocean.
Dogs are permitted on a section of the beach throughout the year.
An insider's guide to Little Haven
You can pick up the Pembrokeshire Coast Path at Little Haven. The path leading to The Point, passing by the Swan Inn, is accessible for both pushchairs and wheelchairs, providing a splendid viewpoint. Heading south, a moderately challenging walk will lead you to the charming little cove at St Bride’s Haven. On the northern route, you will encounter Broad Haven, Druidston Haven, and eventually Nolton Haven and Newgale.
The Boathouse Gallery showcases original watercolours and prints by Shirley Norman, as well as traditional lobster pots, woodcarvings, and other crafts. Little Haven Pottery offers decorated stoneware pottery in shades of blue, white, and green and a wide selection of crafts. Be sure not to miss Lobster And Mor, where you can find local produce, the freshest seafood, and some excellent coffee.
Little Haven boasts three pubs, namely The Saint Brides Inn, located by the car park; the Castle, situated on the seafront; and The Swan, found on the path leading to The Point, all offering food. Visitors can also enjoy dining at a small seafront café and bistro.
