Bronmor is within walking distance of the sea and boat club at Parrog and just round the corner from the pubs and restaurants in the town of Newport on the North Pembrokeshire coast. There is a lovely view of Newport Bay from the cottage garden, making it a fabulous spot to watch the sun go down. Bronmor is a charming 19th Century end of terrace stone cottage in a quiet but convenient location. There are countless walks or cycle rides that can be taken directly from the cottage, and wonderful cliffs and coves that can be reached by car or boat. Newport also has tennis courts and a scenic links golf course while for those of a less energetic persuasion there are numerous pubs and restaurants. Narberth, Solva, Fishguard and St Davids are within a forty minute drive and many of Pembrokeshire’s family attractions such as Oakwood Theme Park and Folly Farm within easy reach.
Bronmor sleeps 5 in 3 first floor bedrooms: bedroom 1 with twin beds, bedroom 2 (the master bedroom) with a double bed and bedroom 3 which leads off the master and has a single bed and a travel cot.
On the stairs, the half-landing leads to a garden which is ideal for some al fresco dining, and with a lovely view of Newport's wonderful west facing bay.
On the ground floor, the beautiful sitting room perfectly suits sinking into the cushions with a glass of wine in front of the open fire. It also has a television and DVD player, music system, books and maps of the local area. The dining room sits six easily or 8 cosily and includes a high chair. The fully equipped kitchen has a fridge, double electric oven with gas hob, microwave, a magimix and a dishwasher. The lovely bathroom has unusually high ceilings and whitewashed stone with a corner bath, WC, bidet and basin. There is a separate WC also on the ground floor and a shower in the utility room just off the kitchen. This room also houses the washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer.
Bed linen, bath towels and tea towels are provided but please bring your own beach towels. No smoking is permitted in the cottage. One well behaved pet is welcome at a cost of £15 per week and must not be allowed upstairs. Children should be supervised in the garden and also on the stairs in the cottage.
Coal and logs are provided for the open fire in winter. The cottage has full central heating and constant hot water which are included in the rental charge. There is allocated private off-street parking for two cars 30 yards away. There is a shed to store bikes there too. You can unload directly outside the cottage.
We welcome enquiries for short breaks of a minimum of 3 nights out of season.
With a garden overlooking Newport Bay and a beautiful interior plus an open fire, Bronmor is the perfect hideaway for gentle relaxation or exploring the dramatic Pembrokeshire scenery.
