Brechfa Lodge offers accommodation for 5 people plus a cot in a newly renovated coach house and stable designed in 1910 by Clough Ellis of Portmeirion fame and sympathetically restored by an award winning architect. Set in the beautiful Cothi valley in Carmarthenshire, it is an ideal base for exploring all that Mid and West Wales has to offer. The lodge is within 7 acres of mature gardens which is a haven for wildlife. We have our own 2 mile stretch of river fishing on the Cothi which is only a five minute drive away - even if you are not an angler you can enjoy the walks along the river bank. Ty Mawr, a hotel/restaurant by the River Cothi, the village shop and the riverside are within a 5 minute walk.

A short drive away is Aberglasney House and Gardens, the National Botanic Garden of Wales, Dinefwr House (N.T.) and stunning, romantic Carreg Cennan Castle. You can relive the age of steam with a ride on the Gwili Railway; visit the Dolaucothi Roman Gold Mines (N.T.) and Laugharne and Dylan Thomas' Boathouse. Further afield, Cefn Sidan (7 miles of golden sands), Oakwood Theme Park, Folly Farm and Tenby in South Pembrokeshire are all within an hour’s drive.

Brechfa Lodge is the ideal place to relax, unwind and enjoy Wales at its best.

Accommodation
Brechfa Lodge has 3 bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 5 plus a cot. There is a
twin bedded room with sloping ceilings on the mezzanine floor (off study area with 2 sofas, Freeview TV/video and games table which overlooks the lounge) and a double and a single bedroom on the ground floor. There is a bathroom and a shower room on the ground floor. The bathroom has a bath, toilet, washbasin and hand held shower over bath, heated towel rail and a cupboard housing the washing machine. The shower room has a toilet, washbasin and walk in shower. The main living room is open plan and has stairs to the mezzanine floor, a wood burning stove, two 3 seater sofas, TV/DVD and Sky Plus, CD/radio, a dining table and chairs seating 6 and a highchair. The kitchen area has an electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with ice box, separate tabletop freezer and French door to the decking area.

Outside
The large decking area has a private hot tub available from the first week of April to the beginning of November, table and chairs, 2 loungers, barbecue and outdoor lighting. There are large grounds with lawns, wooded areas and a stream. There is off-road parking for up to three cars.

A £100 non-refundable deposit per week is required on booking, the balance must be with the owner 2 months before the start of the holiday. Please send a good housekeeping deposit of £100 with your balance payment, refundable if the cottage is left in good order. Please pay the deposit within 7 days. Payment methods accepted: online bank transfer, cheque. We will send you an email with this information when you book.
