Blaenfforest Granary is on a smallholding set in ten acres of idyllic countryside, rich with wildlife, which you are free to roam. It is an ideal holiday location from which to explore the stunning countryside and beaches of West Wales. One of two old farm buildings, the newly converted Blaenfforest Granary now provides comfortable accommodation and the chance to experience life on our smallholding with its traditional Welsh Black cattle, free range poultry and bees in the orchard.
Blaenfforest Granary sleeps 4 in two double bedrooms each with a luxury ensuite shower room. There is constant hot water and we provide a range of high quality complimentary toiletries. Both bedrooms have zip-link beds which can be used as two singles or one large double bed and have comfortable memory foam mattresses. The bedrooms have plenty of storage space and views out over the countryside.
The kitchen is well equipped with a large fridge freezer, full sized electric cooker, washing machine, iron, ironing board, dishwasher, combination microwave oven, toaster and radio/CD player. The lounge has comfortable sofas, occasional tables and a flat screen TV with integral DVD player, Freeview and teletext. The dining area has an oak dining table with 4 comfortable high backed chairs.
There are tubs of herbs in the courtyard for visitors to use. A welcome pack is provided to include eggs from our hens, fresh flowers, wine and chocolates. We also provide kitchen essentials such as kitchen roll, cling film, salt and pepper, tea, coffee sugar and milk.
Outside there is a seating area complete with a patio set overlooking the woodlands. The Granary has a chiminea and a barbeque is available. There is a further enclosed and private terrace area which can be a shadier spot and has a well used wild bird feeding station. Visitors have free access to the Blaenfforest gardens and woodland including the steep valley with its ancient oaks and bluebells in the spring; the pond garden which is a very tranquil place to sit and watch the dragonflies and the orchard.
All bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided (please bring your own beach towels), as is central heating and electricity, so autumn and winter breaks are very snug. The ground floor of Blaenfforest Granary has flagstone floors but with the benefit of under-floor heating. There is a wood-burning stove in the lounge and one basket of logs is free. Up to 2 well behaved dogs are welcome at a cost of £25 per week for 1 and £35 for 2. There is parking for 2 cars. Blaenfforest Granary has been approved under the Walkers Welcome and Cyclists Welcome schemes.
Also at Blaenfforest is Blaenfforest Cottage which sleeps 2.
