Enjoy uninterrupted panoramic sea views from this beautiful luxury holiday home in the popular seaside town of New Quay in Cardigan Bay, one of the most beautiful and well known bays in Britain. This superior period property is in an idyllic location overlooking New Quay Harbour with views extending along the sandy beaches and out across the sea to North Wales.

A truly desirable Gentleman’s Residence, Barham House offers high quality accommodation for 14 people, all bedrooms having wonderful sea views of Cardiganshire’s Marine Heritage Coast with its many attractions including the famous bottlenose dolphins.

Barham House has been sympathetically and comprehensively restored to its former 1920’s glory, preserving its period features and charm, but providing modern contemporary living space. All this lends to a relaxing holiday with both the living room and the dining area providing further views of the harbour and beaches and stunning coastline.

Relax in peace and privacy on the timber decks, watching as the brightly coloured fishing boats leave on the rising tide, returning with a full catch from the crystal clear waters after a few hours. Then take a stroll along the quiet, secluded footpath to the centre of New Quay where you can explore the shops, enjoy a break in one of the friendly pubs or cafes or choose a restaurant for dinner. And only a walk away from Barham House, the Blue Flag Beach beckons so pop down for a swim or play on the sand for hours.

Accommodation
Barham House sleeps 14 in 7 bedrooms: 4 with double beds and 3 with twin beds. We’re happy to provide cots for younger children if you need them.

The spacious newly redecorated accommodation is spread over three floors.

Ground floor: the large open plan kitchen leads into a second sitting room with French doors leading to the sunroom with the dining table seats 14. Sliding glass doors open onto the extensive patio and decking area.

The comfortably furnished separate large lounge also has two sets of French windows so you can walk out onto the patio and deck area and look out over New Quay harbour and across the bay to North Wales. The hall has a separate cloakroom off and a feature staircase leading to the first floor. A separate utility room houses the washing machine and has a door leading out to the side patio with a washing line.

First floor: if you wish, you could accommodate two separate families on this floor with its 4 spacious bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms have double beds and two have twin beds. One of the twin rooms has an ensuite shower room. There is another shower room with a large shower enclosure and also a separate bathroom.

Top floor: another 6 can sleep here in 3 rooms with 1 bathroom. The first room at the top of the stairs has a double bed with the best view in the house! It overlooks the whole of Cardigan Bay. A door leads off from this room to another double bedroom. There is a further separate bedroom with twin beds and another bathroom on this floor.

Outside
Relax outside on the large timber deck and patio area on the beachside of the house: open to the sunshine from sunrise to sunset, it’s perfect for open air breakfasts, lunches, evening meals and barbeques alike. In the garden, the children will love the play area which is surrounded by mature lawns, borders, and shrubbery.

Parking is easy since the mature private grounds include a newly laid drive with parking for 4 cars.
