Banc-y-Capel is a sumptuous newly refurbished house ideally situated in the historic market town of Newport, Pembrokeshire. The beautiful spacious property is in a quiet location, just 2 minutes walk from Market Street’s shops and restaurants, and just over ¾ mile from the magnificent unspoilt sea front at Parrog. A perfect location for a relaxing break or for participating in the multitude of sporting activities available in the area.
The large detached house sleeps six in three ground floor bedrooms (two doubles, one twin), one with an en suite shower room. There is a family bathroom with a shower on the ground floor and also a separate WC upstairs.
There are two very large reception rooms, one ground floor with a coal effect fire and one on the first floor which has a sea view. The upstairs reception room is reached via a spiral stair-case and therefore not ideal for the elderly or very young children. The rest of house is perfectly suitable for all family members.
The newly refurbished kitchen includes a hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, large fridge freezer with ice dispenser.
Children’s facilities: cot and child booster seat for the dining table; large selection of toys, books, videos and games.
There is a large sunny decked area with garden furniture. Off road parking is available for up to four vehicles. Bed linen is provided but guests are asked to bring their own towels. Central heating is included in the price.
Local activities include surfing, swimming, tennis, walking, sailing, cycling, fishing, horse riding, golf, wind-surfing, mountain biking.
Newport is an attractive, small coastal town between Fishguard and Cardigan. It boasts both a Norman Castle and a Church, which stand proudly above this small medieval town on the slopes of Carn Ingli mountain. Ancient streets and pathways lead directly to the river Nevern. The estuary is teeming with wildlife. Pretty walks from the town lead the visitor to the heights of Carn Ingli (Mount of Angels) with splendid vistas to Snowdonia, the Wicklow Mountains and St. David's Peninsula. Descend from the heights to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path with its abundance of wild flowers and secret sheltered coves.
