Afallon is a detached modern bungalow, sleeping 5 (plus cot), A SHORT WALK FROM THE BEACH in Aberporth. Situated opposite the picturesque church of St Cynwyl’s, and in a quiet residential street, Afallon offers comfort and charm, making a superb base for a seaside holiday, with excellent local walking and other amenities.
Providing everything young families need, the house is suitable for anyone looking for a bright, light and comfortable place to call home for their holiday. The garden is fully enclosed and offers sea and country views.
Aberporth is a deservedly popular holiday destination for families, divers and boating people due to its two fabulous beaches (blue flag for several years running). The beach has the benefit of lifeguards during the summer making it a safe place for families. One side of the beach is traditionally the swimming beach, while the other side is where people sail from, and the fishing boat still lands its catch at the quayside here. The village is very picturesque – but is large enough to offer visitors plenty of amenities in the form of pubs, restaurants, shops, post-office, chemist, launderette and a hairdresser. Near Afallon is the Hotel Penrallt which offers visitors a day pass to its Spa facilities and fine dining, with a super indoor pool which is very child friendly.
Afallon also makes a good base for walkers with stunning scenery and coastal walks within a short distance. There is a coastal path from Aberporth to Tresaith beach, with a bus available for the return journey if required. The Pembrokeshire National Park is a short drive away. With breathtaking castles and a host of other heritage sites nearby, visitors are spoilt for choice of local attractions. Boat rides are available around Cardigan Bay to spot bottlenose dolphins and other marine life. The market town of Cardigan which offers a good range of shops and supermarkets is a short drive away. If you prefer to leave the car behind, the bus stop is a short walk from Afallon and the service to Cardigan is excellent. From Cardigan one can take the bus around Pembrokeshire’s national park.
Perfect for young families, older people looking for a quiet retreat and anyone who enjoys both sea and country amenities, Afallon is a welcoming house for your holiday in this wonderful part of Wales. Being a bungalow, the property is very accessible; there are no internal steps and only two steps to the garden and exterior.
Afallon sleeps 5 in three bedrooms: one double, one twin and one single. There is a generous sitting/dining room, newly fitted and tiled bathroom, and a well stocked large kitchen. There is a good sized conservatory with a sofa and breakfast table. To the rear of the property is the fully enclosed garden which offers sea views. The house looks out on its own front garden and has lovely views of the village church. There is off road parking available on the driveway.
Guests have a TV with Freeview, DVD player, Video and PS2. The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, cooker, ample cookware, a fridge/freezer, kettle and a slow cooker. A highchair is available. All heating and electricity are included. Please bring your own bed linen and towels. The house is fully centrally heated, we keep information about the area for guests, books and games and in short try to provide a genuine home from home. Enjoy your stay!
