Acorn Cottage is a single storey annexe which offers self catering accommodation for two people in the beautiful Towy valley in Carmarthenshire, the ‘Garden of Wales’. Adjoining the owner’s home, Acorn Cottage is self contained and has its own separate entrance. It is situated down a private lane and backed by countryside in the village of Pontargothi, 7 miles east of the historic town of Carmarthen and about 8 miles west of the charming rural town of Llandeilo. It is ideally situated for touring the Brecon Beacons National Park to the north, Pembrokeshire Coast National Park to the west and the Gower Peninsula to the east. There are a number of excellent restaurants in the vicinity and the cottage is within walking distance of three pubs/restaurants. Acorn Cottage is conveniently placed for many of the premier tourist attractions in West Wales such as the National Botanic Garden, Aberglasney House and Gardens, the new Ffoslas Racecourse, Dolau Cothi Gold Mines and the nearby Dinefwr Park with its famous castle, country house and gardens just outside Llandeilo.

Acorn Cottage sleeps 2 in one en suite double bedroom with a patio door to the garden. The en suite bathroom has a shower over the bath and an electric shaving point. The cottage has a beamed open plan sitting/dining room and kitchen area which has a stable door to the private garden. The living area has sofas, an electric fire and a TV with Freeview and DVD player. The kitchen has an electric cooker, fridge with a small freezer compartment, microwave, toaster, radio CD player and a dining table and chairs. A selection of books and games is provided. The private garden has garden furniture and countryside views.

Bed linen and towels are provided as is an iron and ironing board. Guests may use the owner’s washing machine and tumble dryer free of charge. Electricity (iincluding an electric fire) and central heating are included in the price. Off road parking is available in the owner’s large drive. No smoking is permitted inside the cottage.
